This morning it was actually cool enough out on my morning walk with Sophie to stop and take some pics of the tenacious flowers that grow in this desert environment. (albeit with a little help from the water sprinklers! Still, even with the daily watering, ordinary flowers would not flourish in this environment.) Since we don't have autumn leaves falling, it's nice to see some vibrant colours whilst walking around the compound.
(And yes, I know I spelled colors 'wrong.' My letters of rec to the UK need to use proper British grammar and spelling, so I have to practice. :-)
