Latest fiasco....

While at home and awake, Sergey spends at least 50% of his time in this position, either on chairs, or along the wall.  I'm fairly certain it's because it drives me mad!
Whilst driving back and forth today, I noticed this interesting cloud formation with the sunset, so I opened the window to take a  photo, much to the irritation of the cars behind me.
 Caution:  SLOW DOWN
Qatari women and children are running away, likely from their ultra-conservative husbands/fathers.
New 3G football pitch.  Cost a lot of money.  No idea what it means.  Astro-turf?  Fake grass?
 He hates being goalie...
 Either concentrating or really mad....

Below:  what exactly are Naked lights anyway?? I didn't think it would be appropriate to ask.

The only thing we had to do today was go to football practice at 4 pm.  This should be easy enough.  It's Eid, so no work/school for 10 days...time to relax and take a breather.  Sergey asked if he could get a drink at a fruit cocktail place, Al Mandarine, that we like.  We leave 90 minutes before practice, and go to the juice place first.  I order the two drinks and find out they don't take credit cards. (my credit card is tied to Qatar Airlines miles, so I try to charge everything and then pay it off right away)  So I ask the guy if he will make the drinks, and I'll leave Sergey there and go find an ATM.  I went to 5...3 out of order, the other two I used my pin number tries, and since all of the banks are closed for the next 5, yes 5, days, I was in trouble.  As an aside, the issue with the debit card is that I have 3 different cards from the bank here, all of which have different Pin numbers, and you can't change them, you just have to remember...I couldn't remember...Had to go back (30 min later, Sergey flipping out about where I am) and tell the man I couldn't get out any money, but that I would give him what I had and bring him the rest later.  This is the equivalent of going to Starbucks, ordering a drink and taking it without paying, with a promise to return and pay...unlikely to occur.  There are only 2 Al Mandarine's in Doha, and I didn't want to tick the guy off by just leaving the drinks as they are pricey.  So...now we are going to be late for football.  I drop Sergey off, go home because I knew I had 100 QR in the cupboard that Rajan the cleaner can use to buy cleaning supplies when needed.  I grabbed the money, leaving the dog very upset, raced back to the juice place to pay, and then back to football practice to pick up Sergey.  Why is EVERYTHING such a production???  Cash hasn't been a problem for over a month, as I accidentally took out 10,000 QR instead of 1,000 one day, but I've used it all now.  And by the way, when I say raced, I mean crawled in bumper to bumper traffic, or rather bumper car traffic, since that is more accurate.  When you don't move fast enough, or barrel through a traffic circle, and the incessant honking from the car behind you doesn't work, they simply bump into you, like a huge bumper car track.  Good times.  In the end, all was well, and I even made it home in the dark without getting lost.
On Saturday, we are taking a 4X4 down near the Saudi border to go desert driving and camel riding.  I'm certain there will be a story to go with that. :-)
