I haven't posted in a long time, mostly because nothing exciting
happened. From Winter break through February break, I worked A LOT of
hours, with college application deadlines coming and going. We didn't
go and do anything out of the ordinary, other than attempting to foster
two separate dogs: Marco first, then Xena. Unfortunately, our flat is
just not set up for active dogs/dogs that have been neglected/abused.
They are both very sweet, and I hope they find forever homes soon! Here
are a couple of pictures.
This is Marco. He was 18 months old when we had him. I had to carry him upstairs to our flat because he was too scared to walk up. That first night, I carried him to Sergey's bed, and there he stayed all night.
By the next morning, he was less frightened, and walked up and down the stairs, though he much preferred being outside. We don't have a garden or anything, as we are on the first (aka second in the U.S.) floor. By day 3, he was jumping up on the kitchen counters, knocking EVERYTHING over, chewing holes in my blankets/sheets, and was generally a mess! He is lovely, but needs more space to roam. Plus, he was scaring Sophie, and I can't have that when I'm at work all day.
To prevent him from chewing my sheets, I gave him one of Sergey's to play with. It was quite funny, but annoying none the less. You can see Sophie in the upper right corner. She was just staring at him, thinking he was nuts!
