This morning was brilliant! It was 73 degrees out, perfect for a long walk with Sophie. (at 6 am that is, although the high this week isn't supposed to get to 90, I think 87 is the highest) Anyway, I digress. While walking with Sophie, I saw my new extra furry light brown shih tzu friend Kiku. (remember the one taking the steroids due to allergies from a couple of posts down) Kiku wasn't with his mummy, he was with a young Filipino lady. I stopped to let Kiku and Sophie 'play' or rather sniff each other, and I asked the lady where was Kiku's mum. She said at work...she told me the other day she works for QF's new state of the art hospital, so she's either a doctor or engineer since it's not yet open. I know the woman is retiring after this year, so she doesn't have kids who need watching. She was in her PJ's, but to be fair, so was I...I asked the nice lady if she was the dog walker for Kiku, and she said "no, I'm her nanny." lol Only in the Middle East. I imagine she is the cleaner as well, but there can't be much cleaning to do for 2 adults (she is a live-in) and one 1 dog in a villa. She's got a pretty good gig, as far as nanny jobs go. :-)
